ISO 17100:2015 audit – another round of success for LKT
Last month, LKT was pleased to welcome Chris Cox, the Association of Translation Companies‘ ISO Standards Expert and Head Auditor, to the office. Following an introduction with Louise and having set the plan for the day, Chris settled down to conduct our second ISO 17100:2015 surveillance audit together with our audit guide Katherine, who was responsible for ensuring the day ran smoothly. And that it did!
Katherine took Chris through four projects, identifying in each case how the team and the work produced met the criteria of the ISO 17100:2015 standard. This involved presenting evidence which demonstrated translator and reviser qualifications and competencies, continuous professional development, project management skills, quality assurance, as well as the giving and receiving of feedback. After just a short time, Chris was more than satisfied that our people, services and systems are all compliant with the ISO standard – proving once more the quality of the work we deliver.
Having delivered the good news to Louise and the team, Katherine and Chris closed the day by looking forward to next year’s ISO plans. Along with ISO 17100:2015 recertification, the discussion included LKT’s intention to add the ISO 9001 certification for quality management systems to its portfolio. Chris happily confirmed that this will be a more than viable option for the team. We are delighted to be partnering with the ATC’s newly launched ISO Certification Service as we embark on our next exciting ISO venture!
Congratulations to the LK Team on this recent success and thanks to everyone for making it possible through their hard work. Many thanks to Chris Cox too for leading the audit, and we look forward to welcoming him back in 2018!
